Truthfully, I wasn't overly enthusiastic about this company at the beginning, but as I learned more about role and engaged with the team I genuinely felt like I could have been a great fit. It's also one of those situations where after investing so much time and energy, you start having that sunk-cost fallacy feeling where you just want the offer to validate all that effort. I don't want to be dramatic but rejection really does suck. Behind the scenes, not everything is as polished and swift as it seems on social media or LinkedIn. I wanted to share more of a candid glimpse into the rollercoaster of emotions that come with job hunting. Even though I do believe that I am a great candidate and have a strong background, it’s been difficult for me to get interviews and get an offer too.
