When former Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins came forward to allege that she had been raped in a ministerial office in Australia’s Parliament House, the country was horrified. Ms Higgins described feeling that her calls for help were stifled by expectations of party loyalty and this sparked a national discussion around sexual harassment and assault in politics and condemnation of the culture of Canberra. A Parliament House security guard who was on duty the night Higgins alleges she was raped has spoken out in an exclusive interview with Four Corners.
