Though it is fondly remembered, I find that most people don't seem to realize how important of a show this was for not just Cartoon Network, but for animation as a whole. At a time where CN was dabbling in live action programming and where the other networks weren't doing so great animation-wise, Adventure Time revitalized interest in cartoons and ended up changing the entire animation landscape by influencing the art and writing styles of its successors and by serving as a jumping off point for others in the animation industry to create their own cartoons.
