Reddit | Create Share-Worthy & Inspired Content to Drive Valued Discussion on Multiple Subreddits

New eBook available now. Make money online using Quora - https://wesfrank.com/product/quora-su... Thanks to https://wheretopost.email/ for script inspiration. In this video lesson, we’ll investigate getting traffic to your website using the social news and discussion network called Reddit. Self-proclaimed as the “front page of the internet,” Reddit received a staggering 1.45 billion webpage visits over the last 6 months, ranking at number 20 for most visited websites worldwide. The power of Reddit is easily understandable just based on the numbers and we must learn to use this free traffic source to our advantage. Reddit is a meta-community. It’s a community of communities. The site itself contains, and is organized by, a large number of sections appropriately called Subreddits. Each Subreddit is an individual community covering its topic with its own unique rules and moderators. Sizes of these communities can range from a few members to multi-millions of members. For reference, the top subreddit "r/funny" has almost 30 million subscribers as of April 2020. The scope of these subreddits brings both great opportunities and challenges. On the one hand, there are numerous places to engage and potentially promote your project — all using one account. On the other hand, you still have to familiarize yourself with numerous rules and environments to avoid issues and may have to create multiple personas to quickly share your content without penalty. There a few things you need to know before promoting anything on Reddit. Whether it be your website, a new product, or an exciting recent project. You’ll have to follow these upcoming rules religiously to have any success on the platform. As with all other online forums, chatrooms, and communities, low-effort posts aren’t popular and will usually go unnoticed. On Reddit, this is no different. Simply dumping your link and leaving, will, at best, get it ignored, down-voted, or deleted by the moderators of that particular Subreddit. In the worst-case scenario, you could be permanently banned from participating in a particular community without any warning. Being aware of the individual rules of each Subreddit, like what you can post, when you can post it, or how active you must be before posting, is crucial to not running into issues. So, always read these regulations in the sidebar. Usually, the most well-received posts are those which share a personal story, interesting data, insights, statistics, charts, videos, articles, or anything riveting about the topic of the community. Not ones that look like promotions or have any self-inspired reason for posting - like getting upvotes or growing a following. Fake humbleness is also not highly regarded, so skip bragging about your successes and instead, share your hard-learned lessons and tribulations. Toward the end of your post, you should include links to your website, project, or product to encourage those that read it to click through for further information. How do we submit our website to Reddit? First, start by identifying a potential Subreddit to post in. This can be a Subreddit relevant to your niche or a more generic one from the gathered list shown later. I suggest reading some of the content before posting, switching between the “hot” and “new” filters can give you a feel for what is generally posted and what is accepted by the members of that community. The hot filter shows the most trending posts, ranked by interactions called upvotes. The new filters show the most recent posts ranked in chronological order. Next, prepare some share-worthy and inspired content as mentioned before. Make sure to write at least one or two paragraphs and not just post a link or image and leave. If you want to spend some more time on your post, perfecting the wording and information that’s provided, Reddit allows you an easy way to save your drafts to continue working on it later. If you want to get your post to the top and have it get the most views, upvotes, comments, and engagement, you’re going to have to treat it like a place of valued-discussion by writing on-going stories, responding to questions, and encouraging opinions from the community. Let’s now look at some successful posts from top Subreddits to give you a better idea of what is expected.
