Turn the annotations on for some commentary. This method was discovered by rhans (   • How to mod vehicles late in game, no ...  ). He asked me to do it using Quarry, so here it is. Using a setup mission with Pimping is more convenient, but using Quarry doesn't require you to hold any buttons or time a phone call. Video shortcuts: 1:26 - showing part of the route 2:36 - booking a flight 5:31 - getting inside TransFender 6:05 - travelling through Grey Hell 9:46 - modding vehicles My controls are: F - action/cancel button (jacking a vehicle, getting in the vehicle) W - move forward/accelerate Space - accept/sprint/handbrake Here is what you have to do: 1) You must have an unanswered, high-priority phone call. Any phone call except Catalina's and Toreno's Flight School taunting should work. When the phone rings, shoot your weapon or attempt to enter a vehicle. The phone has to ring 15 seconds after that. 2) Do first three Quarry missions, so that the next one is the one with getting rid of bombers' bodies. 3) Get acquainted with the route from San Fierro Airport to Doherty. 4) Put vehicles, that you want to convert, into Doherty's garage. If you want to mod a secondary colour, put a vehicle like Blista Compact, Bullet or Banshee as well (Blista has the most modding options, if you want to experiment). 5) Drive to the Quarry mission marker and park your vehicle on the right side of the marker, as shown in the video. Make sure that you've spend at least 16 seconds inside your vehicle, then exit it, stepping into the marker in the process. The phone should ring a split second before starting the Quarry mission. 6) Get on Sanchez and drive to San Fierro Airport. Getting on the bike will postpone the phone call and set Om0 - mission icons and markers will come back. 7) Enter the airport marker about 7-10 seconds before mission failure, select Las Venturas and accept the flight. Exit the plane when you get "mission failed". 8) Be careful now, as you are not allowed to sprint (Space) while on foot or accelerate (W) while in a vehicle (this will skip the flight). Use the route shown in the video, steal a car and drive backwards to TransFender (if your car is accepted there and you don't want a secondary colour option) or Doherty (if you want to use your own car) and then TransFender. 9) Select some modding option with Space. This will skip the flight and give you a floating modding menu. 10) You will spawn in the Grey Hell, in front of the San Fierro Airport. Follow the route to Doherty, as shown in the video (if the camera zooms in on CJ's body, then you are near a wall). 11) While in Doherty, enter a vehicle that you want to mod (they're invisible, but you can see shadows underneath them). 12) When you are inside the vehicle, the controls change for some reason. Select stuff with arrow keys and accept it with "W", "F" exits the modding menu and makes CJ get out of the vehicle, so don't press it accidentally. If you want to change the modded vehicle, get inside a TransFender menu (f.e. colours) and press "F", then try to get inside another vehicle 13) Once you are satisfied, press "F" to get out of the vehicle and exit the modding menu at the same time. The camera will go crazy, but get back to your vehicle and drive out of the mod shop and everything will go back to normal. Well, except of your vehicles.
