The game saw seven ties, but Virginia never trailed after taking an early 2-0 lead. A hat trick of Cavaliers scored a hat trick in the game. Kate Galica, Mackenzie Hoeg, and Jenna Dinardo each scored three goals, with Dinardo also contributing with two assists. Kate Miller added two goals and two assists. For North Carolina, Kiley Mottice led the Tar Heels with three goals.
