Lexus has launched its new affordable entry point to the Australian lineup, the hybrid-only LBX compact SUV/crossover. Chasing Cars’ Olek Novak takes the three-strong variant lineup for a spin at the Australian launch. Starting from $47,550 before on roads, the LBX is split across two grades and offers a choice of FWD ($52,990) or AWD ($56,990) in the higher Sports Luxury specification. All versions are powered by a 1.5L petrol-electric hybrid system offering a total power output of 100kW. The LBX is underpinned by the same TNGA-B platform as the Yaris Cross.
