On Saturday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre announced a plan to cut bureaucratic red tape by 25% over the next two years during a speech in British Columbia. He introduced a "two-for-one" law, which mandates the repeal of two existing regulations for every new rule introduced, along with a commitment to cut administrative costs. "And we will do the same with dollar value. Every $1 increase in the administrative burden of the federal government will have to be matched with two dollars of reductions elsewhere," he said.
