The Journey is the latest collaboration between Storm and Belmo that is designed to be a versatile ball for all styles of bowlers. The Journey has the all new TX-16 pearl coverstock with the F-8 core that was previously featured on the Fate, which was one of my favorite balls. I can see the Journey fitting in the same spot in my bag as the Fate. The Journey gave me a good look sliding on 24, looking 14 at the arrows with my breakpoint around 8-9. As the lanes broke down, I was able to move left and the Journey continued to create great continuous motion. When compared to the Journey, the Fate is a little cleaner and weaker overall and the Virtual Energy Blackout is several boards stronger with a sharper down lane motion. After the big solid asymmetric balls start to burn up, the Journey will be an excellent step down without sacrificing mid lane roll.
