http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/se... Jayden Crooks was born four months early, with a host of medical complications that made it impossible for his young, single mom to care for him alone. The little boy, who has Down syndrome and needs a breathing and feeding tube, has spent nearly two years in the hospital. His mother says it comforts her to know someone can be with Jayden when she can't. Jayden gets companionship through a program called Josh Cares (www.joshhelfrich.org), a charity that operates out of the hospital's Division of Child Life. The program pays salaries for five Child Life fellows, who spend time with patients like Jayden.
