Housing Crash CANCELLED?!

Is the Biden administration going to cancel the 2021 housing crash? Supply remains very tight as housing prices continue to soar. Meanwhile, the federal eviction moratorium and foreclosure moratorium are scheduled to end at the end of January 2021. But Biden's plan would extend those moratoriums until the end of September 2021. This would potentially keep the housing market on the rise by keeping supply artificially low. At the same time, the eviction moratorium crisis will continue to mount as American renters are currently an estimated $70 billion behind on their housing bills. And 3 million homes remain in mortgage forbearance. The real question is who will bear the cost? It could be renters, homeowners, landlords, lenders, or even the government and its taxpayers when the eventual day of reckoning comes. The point is, these programs are not a free lunch and the cost has to be felt somewhere. The housing market has a lot of things affecting it, so we'll have to keep on eye on major policy changes among many other factors.
