Keeping Chaeto in an algae reactor such as a Pax Bellum ARID is a great way to control nutrients and increase water clarity in a reef tank. It also balances pH by taking up excess CO2 and increases dissolved oxygen. To take advantage of these benefits it is very important to keep Chaeto alive and well. Here are some tips or best practices on how to optimize Chaeto growth and to prevent it from crashing. ---Optimal Water Parameters for Chaeto--- Specific Gravity: 1.024 – 1.025 at 78 – 80F. Lower specific gravity and temperature will have higher dissolved gas holding capacity. Magnesium: 1350 – 1450 ppm Calcium: 380 – 480 ppm Potassium: 380 – 420 ppm Alkalinity: 8.5 – 9.5 dkh Boron: 5 – 6 ppm Iodine: .06 – .12 ppm PO4: .03 – .07ppm ---Pax Bellum ARID Algae Reactors--- https://reefbum.com/store-categories/... ---Potassium Iodide--- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00... ---Nitrate Supplement--- https://reefbum.com/store/nitratemoly... ---Phosphate Supplement--- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00... ---Iron Supplement--- https://reefbum.com/store/ironmangane... ---Boron Supplement--- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00... ---Replacement Light Tubes--- https://reefbum.com/store/c36-light-t... ---B12 Supplement--- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00... ---ICP Test--- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01... ----ReefBum SPS Frags---- https://reefbum.com/store-categories/... ---ReefBum Book--- https://reefbum.com/book/ ---GHL KH Directors--- https://reefbum.com/store-categories/... ----Royal Exclusiv Pumps & Skimmers https://reefbum.com/store-categories/... ---ReefBum Gear--- https://reefbum.com/store-categories/... --------Camera Used To Shoot This Video------ Sony A7 iii https://amzn.to/2ALhU38 ------Lenses Used to Shoot Video----- Sony FE 90mm F2.8 Macro Lens https://amzn.to/2D041j2 Sony FE 24-70mm F4 https://amzn.to/2JBRraV ----Gimbal---- Zhiyun Crane https://amzn.to/2RyF9mr ----Video Editing Software---- This VIDEO was EDITED with Adobe Premiere Elements on a Mac. https://amzn.to/2PIfpXw DISCLAIMER: This video and description contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, I’ll receive a small commission.
