The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie is currently set to release in theaters on September 3, 2021 following multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film will introduce audiences to Simu Liu's Shang-Chi, a talented martial artist wrestling with his past in the Ten Rings organization. They got to see him in action in the first trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings that teased an exciting Phase 4 story. The Marvel movie also stars Awkwafina as Katy, a friend of Shang Chi's who doesn't know about his history with the Ten Rings. Other cast members include Tony Leung as Wenwu/The Mandarin. Wenwu is both Shang-Chi's father and the head of the Ten Rings, making for a complicated dynamic between the two. Michelle Yeoh plays Jiang Nan, but details about her character and several others from Shang-Chi largely remain a mystery. Luckily, there's a little more information out there about Meng'er Zhang's Xialing, who is Wenwu's daughter and Shang-Chi's estranged sister.
