Each of them takes turns utilising the Master of Whispers himself, Varys, into visiting characters around Kings Landing in an attempt to win the favour of major houses. Whoever can win over the majority of a family will gain their banner and support, leading to victory. However, whoever claims the final family member holds more sway and can gain aid from Companions to back-stab, kidnap or change character allegiances!
