How To Perform Damage To Conductors Test on Premiers TC Test Setup

Premier's Arrangement For Checking Damage to #conductors is a test apparatus as per IS 1293, IEC 60884-1 Cl 12.3.10 Fig. 11, IEC 60669-1 fig. 10 and consists of a MS frame with sample holding provision, adjustable height, rotating plate and set of weights. Sample fastener enables sample mounting and positioning (height adjustment and position adjustment). The fully automatic setup has a motor which rotates the plate with a rate of 10 +/-2 RPM. The plate has three bushing holes with diameters 6,5, 9,5 and 13 mm as per table 9, which are free moving to avoid entanglement of the conductor. Weights are so designed that it is possible to assemble all masses prescribed in table 9. The weight is made with ring type hooks, so that the conductor can be clamped correctly.
