Leif Garrett – “Fun Fun Fun” (Scotti Brothers) 1978
Written by Mike Love and Brian Wilson. Arranged by John D’Andrea and produced by Michael Lloyd for Mike Curb Productions. From Leif’s 1978 album, “Feel The Need”. Leif Garrett revived a number of 50s and 60s classics during his run of chart hits in the late 70s. Here he gives us his take on the Beach Boys’ #5 hit from 1964, “Fun Fun Fun”. Leif’s first album, simply titled, “Leif Garrett”, reached #37 on the US album chart. His follow up album, “Feel The Need” made it to #34.The album gave rise to four singles, one of which, “I Was Made For Dancin’”, was Leif’s highest charting 45. “Shiela” / “Fun Fun Fun” – both form the “Feel The Need” album – were released as a double-sided 45 in Australia. Among his many other accomplishments, producer Michael Lloyd was the Lloyd in Cotton, Lloyd and Christian; hit makers with “I Go To Pieces” in 1975.
