How to Play The Piano with Both Hands - Beginner's Guide to Mastering this Crucial Technique.

Learn how to play the piano with both hands with this simple exercise and piece! Find all of the FREE resources from this video at: https://www.musictheoryacademy.com/ho... So how do you play the piano with both hands? It looks impossible, right? Wrong!! Learning to play the piano with both hands is not difficult as long as you takes things slowly and realistically. As always, a bit of practice goes a long way to producing massive results! The simple exercise I am going to show you in this video will introduce your brain to the concept of having both hands at the keyboard at the same time. As you work through the exercise you will find that it feels "natural" quite quickly to have both hands on the piano. The exercise develops your ability to play a simple 5 finger exercise using both left and right hands and then extends this to develop your ability to play the C major scale with left and right hands separately. There are 2 pieces for you to learn in lesson 6 that directly follow on from the exercise and develop your ability to be able to play the piano with both hands. The 1st piece challenges you to play a piece of piano music with hands separately - your right hand and left hand will be at the keyboard at the same time, but will mostly play alternately. The 2nd piece is a short piece of piano music that challenges you to be able to play with both hands at the same time. This is a challenging technique and so will require some practice of both the right hand and the left hand parts separately before an attempt is made to play the piece with both hands simultaneously. The piece has a slow tempo and the note lengths are only whole notes, half notes and quarter notes (semibreves, minims and crotchets) so this should give you an opportunity to play the piece. As in all of the previous 5 beginner piano lessons in this course, a backing track is provided so that students are challenged to play the piano in time.
