The first dress (1890s) was worn when Alexandra was Princess of Wales. In the 1930s it was worn to fancy dress parties by its new owner before being donated to the Museum of Costume (now Fashion Museum Bath). Watch as the Fashion Museum team discover something new about the dress! The second heavily embellished dress was worn in the 1910s when Alexandra was Queen. Fashion Museum Bath has temporarily closed before moving to a new location in the centre of Bath. While the collection is in temporary accommodation you will still be able to access it online, where we will create an exciting programme of digital content, and loans to other museums.
