Tennessee is located in the south-central part of the United States. Tennessee covers 42,143 square miles. Tennessee is well known for its role in country and rock ‘n roll history, as well as its astonishing natural beauty, including the Great Smoky Mountains. Tennessee's capital is Nashville. It is the second-largest city in Tennessee Nashville Tennessee is home to the Grand Ole Opry. The Grand ole Opry started as a radio show in 1925. Nashville Tennessee has the nickname Music City. Memphis Tennessee is the largest city. Memphis Tennessee is the home of Elvis Presley's home Graceland. The nation's most visited national park is headquartered in the eastern part of Tennessee.
