There are many videos on Youtube claiming that Onion Skins make great plant fertilizer. But I've yet to see a video which showed me the result of the onion skin fertilizer after use. No doubt the idea of reusing kitchen scraps is captivating, but a claim cannot be true until it is fully tested and documented. This video is exactly that. It is my experiment with Onion Skins fertilizing and my quest to find out if they really do work as plants fertilizer. To make the onion skins fertilizer: 1. Soak collected onion skins (i used 3 medium sized red onions) in 600 ml of water 2. Leave it overnight/ 24 hours 3. Use the pinkish/orange tea to fertilize your plants 4. I do top up with onion skins as and when I have more and top up the water after each use. note: please do not fertilise 7 days in a row on normal circumstance. It will work against the plant and can cause build up and root burn. Follow the usual weekly or once every 2 weeks rule.
