Το "Πέρα από τα Σύνορα" προσφέρει στο μεσογειακό, ευρωπαϊκό και εν γένει διεθνές κοινό μια ετήσια, συναρπαστική «εμπειρία» αποτελούμενη από ταινίες με ιστορικό και πολυπολιτισμικό περιεχόμενο, γεγονότα και προσωπικότητες που διαμόρφωσαν και σφυρηλάτησαν τις χώρες, τους ανθρώπους και τους πολιτισμούς μας. Στόχος αυτού του Φεστιβάλ «boutique» είναι να γιορτάσει και να υπογραμμίσει την ομορφιά και την προσφορά της κινηματογραφικής αφήγησης μέσω της Ιστορίας και της Κοινωνίας. Να «γεφυρώσει» ανθρώπους, ιδέες και οράματα από κάθε πλευρά της υφηλίου μέσω ποικιλόμορφων εικονογραφικών μωσαϊκών. Να εμπνεύσει, να προβληματίσει και να τροφοδοτήσει με δημιουργική ανησυχία για το παρελθόν, το παρόν και το μέλλον. Το "Πέρα από τα Σύνορα" αφορά, εν κατακλείδι, το ανθρώπινο αποτύπωμα στο τώρα και το τότε, στο εδώ και στο παντού. . . .
