How to do the Kitchener Stitch - Step by step tutorial for beginners

A step by step tutorial on how to graft two knitted pieces together with the Kitchener Stitch ►►► VIEW THE FULL BLOG POST HERE: https://nimble-needles.com/stitches/h... The Kitchener Stitch is an easy and almost invisible way to join two knitted pieces together. All you need is a tapestry needle, a pair of scissors and of course your knitting needles and the finished project. You basically align the two edges parallel with an equal amount of stitches, and then you use the tapestry needle to graft knit stitches. you start with two preparational stitches: A) Go into the first stitch on the front needle purlwise B) Go into the first stitch on the back needle knitwise. From here you start with the regular repeat: 1. Go into the first stitch on the front needle knitwise and drop the stitch 2. Go into the next stitch on the front needle purlwise and keep the stitch 3. Go into the first stitch on the back needle purlwise and drop the stitch 4. Go into the next stitch on the back needle knitwise and keep the stitch repeat these 4 steps until you finished the graft and the two pieces are joined with the Kitchener Stitch. Pull the yarn tight (but not too tight) after each step. Once you are finished, you can adjust the gauge by pulling the stitches tight(er) with the needle one at a time for a neat finish. ►Visit my blog for a free knitting school: https://nimble-needles.com/learn-to-k... ►Subscribe my newsletter for free patterns: https://nimble-needles.com/newsletter/ ► View my projects on Instagram   / nimbleneedlez
