While the full story of Nick Scratch was gradually revealed over the course of the show, the heartbreaking truth was finally unveiled in Wednesday night's finale. In the series finale of Agatha All Along, episode nine, viewers were taken back to the 1700s to witness the fate of Nick Scratch and the events that unfolded between Agatha and Rio, also known as Death. During Agatha's secluded labor in the woods, her lover arrived bearing disheartening news and prepared to claim her newborn son. Despite this, Agatha's pleas for Nick's life swayed Death, who granted her "more time" with her child. However, it was evident that Death would eventually return for him. During her time with Nick, Agatha spent several years hunting other witches to absorb their power. Her aim was to gather sufficient strength to fend off Death's return. She collaborated with Nick to create the Witches' Road song and occasionally exploited him to gain more power, all the while driven by her desire to protect him. In the dead of night, while Agatha slept beside him, Death claimed Nick, extinguishing his life and shattering her world. For three centuries, Agatha has been on a relentless quest for vengeance, fueled by the desire to bring back her beloved son. Her unwavering hope sustains her as she seeks the power to conquer death and restore her family's happiness. Could Nick Scratch Return? As Agatha stood at the culmination of her journey along the Witches’ Road, she carefully placed a treasured piece of Nick’s hair within the soil of a grow room. With tears welling in her eyes, she acted as a catalyst, planting a seed in hopes of bringing him back. To her astonishment, a dandelion emerged from the exact spot where she had buried the hair, just before the entire room succumbed to a sudden collapse. If Marvel chooses to resurrect Scratch in the future, there might be more to his story. Although it's not essential, the groundwork has been laid for his potential return (pun intended).
