I use back button focusing for wedding photography, commercial photography, food photography. Anywhere I need to nail the focus, and choose what I want to be focusing on before I change the composition, back button focusing is perfect for it! This is a great setting for all beginner and advanced photographers, and you'll definitely see a change in your photography work afterwards. It's on thing that I decided to start using about five years ago, and instantly upped my photography skills, because I was able to compose an image exactly as i wanted it, after I had focused on my subject, and its much quicker than Focus Peaking.
