The Smiths - Unreleased BBC/Peels Sessions

By Savbomb: Here are versions of the radio sessions that are available in good quality but have not been given an official release. I've run them all through my patented Bob Harris elimination software, so that your enjoyment isn't spoiled by breathing, superfast fade-outs etc. Might not be for everyone, since it involves some processing (I've even gone as far as reverb) and there is some lossy content (the whole of London and a few seconds of Half A Person, where I have used a webrip recently done by David A). Missing from this are Wonderful Woman and I Don't Owe You Anything, recorded for Jensen and Peel respectively in 1983, because the versions in circulation are poorer quality. Reel Around The Fountain was, supposedly, not broadcast at the time of recording because of a story in the Sun about the Smiths being paedophiles. However, you may also like to listen out for some discordant guitar. Just saying. 1. Reel Around The Fountain (6’ 02) Recorded for the David Jensen Show, 25 August 1983. Broadcast 13 February 1994.
