Here's What To Study BEFORE Nursing School The first thing that you will need to study before nursing school isn't your textbooks, it is dose calc. Medication calculations are super important, and within the first few weeks of your courses you will have a dose calc exam that will test you on how well you can calculate medication doses. Now the key thing to know for dose calc is to always use dimensional analysis to solve the math problems. I have a simple 6-step process that walks you through how to ace dose calc, literally step-by-step. Do all the practice questions you can get your hands on, and just practice, practice, practice. You'll get more and more confident, and you WILL pass. The second thing that you should only review if you feel super confident in dose calc us the Nursing Process.
