Why I Upgraded to the Apple M4 MacBook Pro

One of the greatest things to ever come from ‪@Apple‬ is Apple Silicon. The M1 series made a massive wave in the industry and brought on easily the best computers ever. I’ve had the M1 Max MacBook Pro since it launched and it changed everything for me. It made what I do here so much easier than ever before, and it was still powerful enough to do everything I needed. So when the M4 series came out, I wanted to see if it was a big enough upgrade to justify the upgrade. In many ways, the processor improvements didn’t make a dramatic improvement to my video editing workflow outside of a few things, but it was the culmination of different things that made it worth the upgrade. I travel a lot, so having a smaller laptop has become a more important factor. It’s lighter and easier to use on a plane. But the thing that has really changed the game for me is the new nano-texture display that reduces glare and reflections. Somehow, Apple has pulled off an anti-glare display without it looking washed out. It has been a game changer for me.
