RUSH - "Subdivisions" (Music Video) - Remixed & Remastered From Multi-tracks - 1440p/60fps

This is my take on "Subdivisions", which I remixed using multitrack files available from one of the Rock Band games (Each instrument isolated, to be able to edit each separately). The pack contained five separate tracks but I split them further in to about 9-10 individual tracks to allow for more precise adjustments. I purposely did not listen to the original track during the process, as to not let it influence the mix I was going for, so this is not meant to be faithful to the original mix rather how I would have mixed the song while pretending that I was the original producer, lol. So, it caters to my taste and is not meant to serve as a replacement for the original Terry Brown mix which has a signature early '80s sound - I wanted to make this version sound a bit heavier, more modern, with more of a focus on Rush's classic hard rock roots. Short list of major changes (I use FL Studio): -Guitar and Bass a lot more present in the mix (both running partially through virtual amps). -Tried to make the drums thicker, punchier, less ambient, and less hissy in the high frequencies. -Dried up the vocals and stripped out most of the original reverb. -Stripped away most of the original reverb and ambience, replacing them with custom reverb plugins. - Tried to tighten everything up in general to get more of a direct punchy sound, used side-chain compression to make the kick drum more dominant, allowing it to cut through the other low end.
