VCI Entertainment is an American home video company based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States of America, founded as Video Communications, Inc. in 1976 by Bill Blair (1930-2006) to produce/distribute movies and special programming on video tape. Blair established a film distribution company called United Films some years earlier, and this was based on his 16mm film print collection. Video Communications was briefly known as United Home Video during the mid-late 1980s, when it was a home-media division for United Entertainment Pictures. VCI Entertainment has its own website with a history article written by David Blair, who is the president of VCI Entertainment and is a son of founder Bill Blair. The ident from VCI Classics was possibly created in the late 1990s (according to Logopedia), and VCI is the the oldest surviving independent home video company in the USA.
