I absolutely love when bass players flip everything about the instrument on its head and break new ground, because I honestly haven't seen a player approach a song like this within such a commercial act. Many of you asked me to check out Peter with comments suggesting "Joy Division - New Order", and I assumed it was a song 😅 - I will return to Joy Division soon, but was quickly intrigued to dig into a brand new (to me) band. New Order's music video for "The Perfect Kiss" was an interesting starting point, considering nothing about Peter Hook's bass performance was traditional.
