To know more or find more such videos please visit https://assimilate.one/ Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) is a sudden loss of kidney function that can have a variety of causes. AKI is classified based on the severity of the condition and the underlying cause. The most widely used classification system is the Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) criteria, which classifies AKI into three stages: Stage 1, characterized by a slight increase in serum creatinine or a reduction in urine output; Stage 2, marked by a moderate increase in serum creatinine; and Stage 3, the most severe stage, indicated by a significant increase in serum creatinine or complete cessation of urine output. AKI can also be classified based on the underlying cause, such as prerenal, intrarenal, or postrenal.
