Worries... we all have them. They are a part of life. However, we so often give those things that worry us more power than they need, more power than they deserve. They can loom larger than life, magnified out of proportion. Most people don’t know that worrying is a behaviour, it helps us feel like we are doing something. We worry thinking that this time we will catch something good. If we worry enough, sooner or later we will come up with the solution to our real or imagined troubles. Problem is that worry doesn’t feel good, worry doesn’t get things done. Because it puts us in a primal state of relating to the world, our thinking is distorted when we worry, triggering even more anxiety. When we dwell on things, we often make things far worse than they really are Sometimes we add drama and magnify our emotions. During these challenging and uncertain times, we often find ourselves worrying about the future, worrying about a potential recession, worrying for our loved ones, worrying for ourselves.
