May 2025 Speaker Series - CAL FIRE Wildland Fire Seasonal Outlook

Join us for our May Speaker Series where we will hear from Chief Ben Nicholls, CAL FIRE. Chief Nicholls will talk about the wildland fire seasonal outlook. He has 30 years of experience with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection - CAL FIRE. Chief Nicholls has worked in a variety of programs and specialties throughout his career including; Wildland and Municipal Fire Protection, Emergency Command Center Operations, Fire Prevention/Law Enforcement, Pre-Fire (Vegetation Management, Defensible Space Inspection Program, Public Information/Education, Grant Administration). In his current assignment, Chief Nicholls oversees and coordinates CAL FIRE operations throughout Sonoma County. Chief Nicholls has been a part of firefighting operations on all major wildland fire in Sonoma County since 2017.
