Because of this tensions rose between the two families resulting in negotiations and lots of lost money on both hands. It was clear that Sacrimoni was losing money quickly and something needed to change in order for him to become more financially stable. His solution, to whack Carmine and take over as boss. But this never panned out thanks to Soprano bailing last minute due to high risk high reward situation. Which brings up the question, why was John so eager when it came to taking out Carmine.
