In this skit Hezekiah learns that despite what’s in his school science book, there are some big problems with the Theory of Evolution. The most important one is that it doesn’t match what the Bible says about Creation... that God made the heavens and the earth and He did it in six days. Memory Verse: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1 NKJV) Lessons Taught: • The Bible says in Isaiah that the earth will wear out like a garment (Isaiah 51:6) • The first sentence of the Bible says that God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1) • The rest of Genesis chapter 1 describes how God made everything in 6 days (Genesis 1:31) • God made the vegetation like grass, plants and trees on the 3rd day (Genesis 1:12-13) • This was the day before the sun was made (Genesis 1:14) • God made the animals and the first man on the 6th day (Genesis 1:24, 26) • God said that He made the earth in 6 days (Exodus 20:11) • God has given us free will, which gives us the ability to choose to love God or not (Deuteronomy 30:19) • We can choose to accept God’s free gift of Salvation so we can live with Him forever (John 3:16) • The Bible says that God suspended the earth over nothing (Job 26:7) • The Water Cycle is described in the Bible (Job 36:27-28) • The Bible mentions the currents that are found in the ocean (Psalm 8:8) Scripture References: (NKJV) Isaiah 51:6 – Lift up your eyes to the heavens, And look on the earth beneath. For the heavens will vanish away like smoke, The earth will grow old like a garment, And those who dwell in it will die in like manner; But My salvation will be forever, And My righteousness will not be abolished. Exodus 20:11 – For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. Deuteronomy 30:19 – I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Job 26:7 – He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing. Job 36:27-28 – For He draws up drops of water, Which distill as rain from the mist, 28 Which the clouds drop down And pour abundantly on man.
