We're burned (by the sun) I swear, we're burned while waiting at the Tikeya (charity kitchen). I came to get food for the children. What should we do? Thank God anyway. There's no food, no flour, nothing. I swear, we're exhausted." 3. Various of women and girls shouting to receive cooked food 4. It's almost nonexistent for most people, most tents, most displaced people." 5. Various of people with pots 6. Various of women cooking beans in clay oven 7. We're afraid of dying of starvation. We're not afraid of dying from missiles, we're afraid that our children will die of hunger in front of us. They get dizzy and fall in front of us, and you're helpless." 8. Various of Abu Helal outside of tent with his children 9. Wide of tents STORYLINE: Dozens of Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been gathering everyday outside a charity kitchen that distributes hot meals to displaced families in southern Gaza. Most of the Strip’s population have been suffering to feed their children as Israel’s continued blockade entered its third month. “We're exhausted,” said Sara Younis, a woman from the southernmost city of Rafah, as she was waiting to get a hot meal for her children. "There's no food, no flour, nothing. I swear, we're exhausted." Israel has blockaded all entrances to the Gaza Strip since March. While pummeling the Strip with airstrikes, it has banned any food, water, shelter, medication from entering a territory where 90% of the population is reliant on humanitarian aid to survive. Aid groups have expressed concerns that gains they made during the six-week ceasefire between January and February to avert famine in parts of the Strip have been diminishing. Like most of the aid groups in the besieged Strip, the charity, known as Tikeya, has run out of supplies and has kneaded pasta for the past two weeks. Nidal Abu Helal, a displaced Palestinian, said that he'd become increasingly concerned that people, especially children, were going to die of starvation. “We're not afraid of dying from missiles, we're afraid that our children will die of hunger in front of us,” he added.
