That made it three Premier League wins in succession for the Blues for the first time since early January, keeping alive their push towards the European places. Since Boxing Day, only the current top three sides have picked up more than Chelsea’s 35 points as manager Mauricio Pochettino seems to have finally found a winning formula at Stamford Bridge. Whether he remains at the helm beyond this summer remains to be seen, but adding another victory to his tally here could strengthen his position and that appears extremely plausible given his prior personal record when facing off against Brighton (W6, D1, L1). Key battle: Two young stars will battle it out here as Brighton’s Simon Adingra, who’s seen four of his six Premier League goals come after the 75th minute this term, looks to get the better of Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, who’s been involved in five goals across his last three league appearances (G4, A1).
