Review of the Pyzel Tank Surfboard. POV surf footage from Fistral Beach, Newquay.

POV review of the Pyzel Tank step up / semi gun surfboard. I would consider myself an intermediate level surfer. I have been looking for a step up for a little while and quite fancied the Pyzel Tank but I could not find any reviews on this. I have put this together having surfed this board for 2 winters, mainly at Fistral Beach. I really like the board and wanted to share my experience. I have not talked over the footage or stood in front of the camera as I am not that handsome. I really like this board. I was looking for a step up into bigger waves, this has very much done the job. I have a 7'2'' x 20.5'' x 3 1/8'', I weigh 88kg and am basically working through a mid life crisis. My main points with regards to the Pyzel Tank are: 1: It is a fast board. It is sleek, thick and provides a lot of float. It moves well over the flat and comes into waves easily. 2: It REALLY wants to get into waves. The board has loads of volume under the chest, it is therefore really easy to push weight forwards. The result of this is that it commits to waves early as the eight / tipping point is further forward than I have found with other semi's. It is probably the easiest board I have used on bigger days. I have been in on waves that I though I had not chance with... for better or for worse. 3: It is around 45 litres. It is ok to duck dive for its size. 4: It is a pin tail. The manoeuvrability is OK. If you are a better surfer and can manage bigger swell on a less gunny board then I expect you would have more fun surfing that. I have been looking for a step up to charge lines and think about turning afterwards, it has done that job for me really well. 5: It is a really good board for confidence in big swell. It is build like a... Tank I guess. It works really well in conditions where I am pushing my limit. 6: It has lots of rocker. It is really good for vertical charging. It is a really good board if you are looking for a step up for bigger days and are more looking at point and shoot. For technical surfing it is not so manoeuvrable and so this is a matter of specific goals The music is Oceanic Moonscape by @cagoulecool https://open.spotify.com/album/7ahgOx... I hope this is useful. Happy surfing. Dan
