Preparing in advance helps you to survive a personal crisis | Carolin Runnquist | TEDxStockholm

When crisis strikes a large organization they are usually prepared for the event. The ones who are prepared thrive; the others suffer. Ordinary people are also vulnerable to crisis events and they can prepare in the same way, says Carolin Runnquist, a crisis management professional. By building your financial, physical and mental resilience while times are good you surround yourself with a kind of “airbag” that protects you, and maybe you could even emerge stronger than before. Carolin Runnquist has extensive experience of working with crisis management in various sectors and industries and has supported the Sweden’s top leaders and organizations through crises with good results and positive outcomes. Carolin often figures as a crisis management expert in the media and is a lectures often on the subject. In 2018, Carolin was named Super Talent by Veckans affärer magazine and IT Woman of the Year. In January 2020 Carolin’s book about Leadership in crises will be published. Stay tuned for her new podcast @fuckup_podden co-hosted with @JohannaTömmervik which will be airing shortly. She finds energy by being in nature, taking in the beauty of different landscapes and inspiration for ideas has come through numerous walks among frozen pines, finding solitude and a source for reflection in the Swedish forests.
