Born in Ghana and growing up in Canada, Ivy Prosper is all too familiar with the narrative of starving children and Africa. Recounting her personal journey of self discovery, Ivy shares how the power of digital media provides a new dawn in the sharing of African stories. It is time for a new generation of African journalists to wield this power towards being a voice for the voiceless, empowering Africans the world over, and unifying the global African Diaspora. Ivy Prosper is an experienced Television Host, Reporter, Producer, Public Speaker and published Writer. She is the owner of her own creative media company, Prosper Creative Group, which produces content, consults with clients and supports projects in the creative industries. As an advocate for empowering women and girls, she’s been outspoken on issues regarding self-esteem, positive body image and gender equality. Ivy is a former reporter on the television series, Maternal Health Channel, through which she was inspired to support initiatives that educate the public about the issues related to maternal mortality.
