Hong Kong has retained its common law system under ‘One Country, Two Systems’. In this video, the solicitors admitted in 1997 will share their thoughts about the implementation of the Basic Law, and its significance for the development of Hong Kong as an international financial centre in the Asia-Pacific region. ===================== "Questions for Solicitors Admitted in 1997" is a special project introduced by the Young Solicitors’ Group in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of HKSAR. Members of the public had been invited to raise questions to 1997 Solicitors about the development of the legal profession over the past 25 years.
