Today I'm going to explain Gone in 60 Seconds. It's a 2000 American action heist thriller starring Nicolas Cage, Angelina Jolie, Giovanni Ribisi, Delroy Lindo, Will Patton, Christopher Eccleston, Chi McBride and Robert Duvall. It's got a lot of crazy sequences, so buckle your seatbelts and let's get started. Directed by Dominic Sena and released in December 2000, ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ is a highly acclaimed action film. In the movie, a group of thieves plan to rob three different Las Vegas casinos over the course of one night. In the first casino they manage to steal an estimated $60 million dollars before they are captured by police and taken to jail. After being locked up for 30 days, the thieves break out of jail with help from a corrupt guard named Ned Racine (Nicolas Cage). They steal $40 million more and then disappear into Mexico before being caught again and brought back to prison. The thieves then break out again and steal $30 million more before finally escaping for good after stealing $10 million worth of diamonds. The movie was well received by critics and audiences alike. It became a huge success for its original concept and slick action scenes. The movie won an Oscar for Best Achievement in Visual Effects, grossing over $400 million worldwide. Nicolas Cage plays Franklin "Fast" Frank Martin, a professional car thief who is down on his luck after being sent to prison for stealing cars from the same company that manufactured the Ferrari 550 Maranello featured in the film. He meets Cole Hammond, a young cop hot on his heels with orders to steal the fastest car ever made from Frank if he catches up. The Gone in 60 Seconds movie was a success because of its smart marketing. It was one of the first movies to use Silicon Valley’s “disruptive innovation” strategy which is a way of breaking the rules and bypassing traditional, established norms. The movie broke all kinds of rules and was a huge hit. The characters in this film are based on people who have been close to criminals, which makes it more realistic for audiences to relate with them better.
