A winner of the Paganini International, Washington International, and Bach International Violin Competitions, as well as the Orange County Young Musicians Competition, Lee has been featured soloist with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Seoul Philharmonic, Rochester Philharmonic, Charlotte Symphony, and Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestras, among others. Lee has served as Concertmaster, Co-Concertmaster and Ass.Concertmaster for the Pittsburgh Symphony (Lorin Maazel), Rochester Philharmonic (David Zinman), Grand Rapids Symphony, and Charlotte Symphony. He has also appeared as guest concertmaster for NDR in Hamburg, Germany and the St. Louis Symphony, and toured Europe in 2001 with American Sinfonietta under Michael Palmer as Concertmaster. As a recitalist, Lee has performed at the Carnegie Recital Hall, and has played in the Shadyside Chamber Series, Carnegie-Mellon Art Institute Chamber Series (Pittsburgh), Society of Chamber Music in Rochester, Pacific Serenades Chamber Music Series (Los Angeles), and Collegium Musicum (Buenos Aires). He has collaborated in chamber music performances with such notable people as Beveridge Webster, Colin Carr, Paul Katz, and the Tokyo String Quartet. Lee's teachers include Oscar Shumsky, Felix Galimir, Ljerko Spiller, Eudice Shapiro, George Kast, and Masterclass Performances in Zurich with Nathan Milstein in 1975 and 1976.
