In this continuing series, I ATTEMPT to define major video game genres and offer you examples to help you understand the difference between many confusing terminologies. The basic disclaimer must be made that many, if not MOST video games these days are a combination of two or more genres or styles, or at least borrow elements of gameplay from other types of games. This series of videos attempts to offer the most general description of each term, and you will have to decide where your favorite game falls on the list.
