DUI suspect drove wrong way on SR-14 for about 14 miles before deadly crash, Washington troopers say

A wrong-way driver is facing multiple charges, including DUI and vehicular homicide, after crashing into another car on State Route 14, killing one person and leaving two others seriously injured. Washington State Patrol identified the driver as Erik Mario Moya, 23, of Vancouver. He will be arraigned on charges of DUI, vehicular homicide, and two counts of vehicular assault on Wednesday afternoon. The crash happened just after 11 p.m. Monday along the highway in Camas. Moya reportedly drove eastbound on SR-14 in the westbound lanes for about 14 miles before colliding with another car. "I saw like flickering headlights, but not like high beams. It was like just regular low beam. It was weird," Gale Berry said during an interview with KATU News after having a close call with the driver. "When he got close to me, I tapped on the brakes thinking 'Am I... is he going to come at me?'"
