The Most Underrated Guitarist Of All Time - Barry Bailey (All Live/Studio Guitar Solos)

Barry Bailey was the lead guitarist for Atlanta Rhythm Section. In his younger years he also played for The In Crowd, The Candymen, Classics IV. The documentary is about an hour long and includes every live guitar solo of his and every studio guitar solo he ever recorded. I feel that Barry paved the way for so many guitar players and this documentary HAD to be made. He was one of the most influential guitarists to me and so many others! Artist BIO Barry Bailey played a key role in shaping their unique Southern rock sound, blending rock with jazz, blues, and country influences. His guitar work was central to many of their biggest hits, such as "So Into You," "Imaginary Lover," and their version of "Spooky." Barry's playing style was known for being smooth, clean, and melodic. He wasn’t a flashy, in-your-face guitarist like some of his contemporaries but could tap into that when he wanted to but was more focused on tasteful, well-crafted solos that complemented the song. His subtle and soulful playing helped distinguish ARS from other Southern rock bands of the time. He was a musician's musician, admired by peers for his technical precision and emotional depth. Bailey stayed with ARS through their peak in the 1970s and early 1980s but eventually retired from touring and recording in 2006 due to health reasons. He passed away in March 2022, at the age of seventy-three, after battling multiple sclerosis. R.I.P.
