Liverpool player ratings: one excellent, one poor in late collapse against Aston Villa. Liverpool concluded Jurgen Klopp's away fixtures with an entertaining draw against Aston Villa on Monday night. An own goal from Emiliano Martinez was followed by strikes from Cody Gakpo and Jarell Quansah, resulting in a 3-3 draw in the Premier League. Alisson Becker received a rating of 7. He couldn't do much about Villa's goals and caused panic twice with miscued clearances, but made good saves in the second half. Trent Alexander-Arnold received a rating of 6. He often moved into a central midfield position early on but had to defend more before the break. In the second half, he faced more defensive challenges but was denied by Martinez with a powerful shot. Jarell Quansah received a rating of 7. Despite being beaten by Watkins in the build-up to Villa's first goal, he was impressive overall and made necessary blocks in the first half. He brilliantly headed in his first Premier League goal. Virgil van Dijk received a rating of 6. He had to make several important interventions as Villa threatened with deep runners. Although he intervened as the home side pressed in the second half, he couldn't stop their attacks completely. Joe Gomez received a rating of 7. He faced defensive challenges before the interval but managed to contribute to the attack and assisted the second goal. He covered well in the second half as Villa pressed. Wataru Endo received a rating of 7. He had to cover a lot for the defense and couldn't be everywhere at once before the interval. However, he performed much better in the second half and was sorely missed when substituted. Harvey Elliott received a rating of 7. He had a bright start and his cross led to Martinez's own goal for the opener. He also improved defensively as Villa attacked and delivered a fine free-kick for the third goal before being booked and substituted. Alexis Mac Allister received a rating of 5. He gave the ball away, leading to Villa's equalizer, and seemed off the pace for most of the game. Although he improved slightly in the second half, he lost the ball for Villa's second goal. Mohamed Salah received a rating of 6. He was involved in the opener and had the better of Digne but faded a bit before the break. He had several near moments in the second half. Cody Gakpo received a rating of 8. He continued his good form with an impressive performance leading the line and scored the second goal. He was strong physically and used the ball well. Luis Diaz received a rating of 6. He played a part in the second goal and was active in the first half, but a better pass could have created a clear chance for Salah. He was booked before being substituted. Darwin Nunez (substituted for Gakpo at 75 minutes) received a rating of 6. He was caught offside needlessly when sent clear by Jones but looked sharp. Ryan Gravenberch (substituted for Elliott at 75 minutes) received a rating of 6. He wasn't heavily involved after being introduced. Curtis Jones (substituted for Diaz at 76 minutes) received a rating of 6. He made a couple of good forward passes after coming on. Dominik Szobszoszlai (substituted for Endo at 76 minutes) received a rating of 7. He had a much better cameo appearance and was denied a goal by a good save from Martinez.
