TRADITIONAL ARCHERY | STRING WALKING | 2 MAGIC NUMBERS for STRINGWALKING !

VOGTLAND OUTDOORS | VOGTLAND SHOOTING METHOD In today's show of VOGTLAND OUTDOORS host Mark Vogt explains in detail "The 2 Secret Numbers of VOGTLAND STRINGWALKING" ... String Walking is simply a method for adjusting the elevation of the arrow by shifting or "walking" your Draw Location on the bowstring up or down in relation to the Nocking Point of the arrow itself. By Drawing a different locations along the bowstring, the archer is literally moving the REAR of the arrow up or down, which in turn decreases or increases the RANGE of the shot - it's as straightforward as that! Compared to COMPOUND BOW archers and OLYMPIC RECURVE BOW archers, String Walking is different in only a single sense: COMPOUND BOWS and OLYMPIC RECURVE BOWS change the elevation of the arrow by HOLDING the REAR of the bow steady and MOVING the FRONT of the bow up or down in alignment with the front pin(s), while STRING WALKING changes the elevation of the arrow by holding the FRONT of the bow steady and moving the REAR of the bow up or down. THAT'S IT ! BOTH METHODS WORK EQUALLY in that they BOTH change the elevation of the ARROW by changing the elevation of the BOW ! The INTERESTING part is this: MANY people OVER-COMPLICATE StringWalking by thinking they need to memorize every single gap, and using units of "wrappings" on the bowstring :-O In fact, it's not uncommon for an accomplished String Walker to either memorize (or have on a small piece of paper) as many as 9 to 20 or MORE different gaps - simply to shoot with reasonable accuracy from 5m to 70m :-O !!! DANG - what a HARD and UNNECESSARY way to do String Walking !!! IN SHARP CONTRAST, the VOGTLAND STRING WALKING METHOD requires you only remember 2 SIMPLE NUMBERS, and with them you can then shoot accurately from 5m to 70m, to 80m, to 90m and even to 100m and beyond ! INTERESTED YET? READ ON!... The VOGTLAND StringWalking Method is an integral part of The VOGTLAND SHOOTING METHOD, and approaches StringWalking from a practical, intuitive direction that distills String Walking down to 2 "Magic" numbers: 1ST MAGIC NUMBER: Your "20m Gap" - the number of finger-widths (and fractions) for you to shoot 20m accurately with the tip of the arrow right smack on the CENTER of the target; AND 2ND MAGIC NUMBER: Your "10m Interval Gap" - the number of finger-widths (or fraction) for you to INCREASE or DECREASE your range by 10m THAT'S IT ! WITH these 2 numbers you can shoot ANYWHERE from 5m to 140m, simply using the following recipe at the beginning of each shot, when you're determining your "Gap" for that shot: STRINGWALK to your 20m gap; then SHIFT up or down 1 "10m Interval Gap" for every 10m you're shooting FARTHER or CLOSER than 20m WOW - IT CAN'T BE ANY SIMPLER ! WATCH the video and see Mark shoot at 20m, then 10m, then 30m, then 70m and finally at 100m, all using just these 2 MAGIC NUMBERS to quickly and CONFIDENTLY and ACCURATELY determine the "gap" for that shot ! GREETINGS to EMANUEL in POLAND - this video is for you !!! -Mark Vogt | VOGTLAND OUTDOORS
