A World Without Rape...Is it too much to ask for? We are a group of artists, who through this music video, are attempting to be a catalyst to spread the dream of a ‘World Without Rape’ Kadach/Shayad is a poetic expression, which depicts the despair of love-filled WOMEN towards insensitive men. The soliloquy acts as the cry of a victimized woman, a woman for whom it is becoming impossible to be angry. Hopelessness and pain fill her now. In summary, the poem serves as a description of various relations that every man has with women. The victim reminds the perpetrator of the various relationships between him and the women in his life: his mother, sister, friend, lover and daughter. In sheer helplessness the woman says, "I must have been in your heart today (while brutalizing me), maybe!" The project is an attempt to combine sound, visuals and words, to create a compelling and creative music video. The project aims to sensitize men and society about this shame. We believe that the first step to become sensitive is to have the ability to empathize with others pain. This music video is an attempt to make the viewer come face-to-face with the pain of a victimized woman. It is a humble attempt to do our bit, to be a catalyst for change.
