It is high time that we got the content of our Joomla articles looking a tad snazzier. This time around in our “Maximize Impact: Joomla Article Tweaks” webinar we deal primarily with the Joomla Media Manager & inserting Images into our Articles. ☕ Buy Me A Coffee - https://www.buymeacoffee.com/paurray 00:00 - Touching on some of the things we still have to do 00:28 - Joomla 2nd Steps = Media Manager 00:48 - Creating a couple of Categories to organise our Media =========================================== Want training videos for your product: ➡️ https://finalbug.tv/en/paul-david-mur... =========================================== 01:33 - Joomla 2nd Steps = Importing Images 02:51 - Joomla 2nd Steps = Inserting Images into Articles 03:01 - Mental Note of Astroid options in Article Items 05:24 - Adding some header formatting to text for later 06:27 - Editing the name of a Menu Item 06:41 - Mental Note of Astroid options in Menu Items 07:00 - Short description of what the next steps are This lesson, "Enhancing Joomla Articles Through Images & Formatting," is not intended to be a comprehensive overview of article formatting in Joomla. Instead, I take a "bare bones" approach to inserting images into Joomla articles before moving on to some text formatting options, particularly headers. Headers might seem like an odd touchstone, but I'm really interested in header classes in Joomla and how they can be seamlessly and easily formatted with the help of the Astroid Templating Framework. All of this is aimed at illustrating the seamless integration of Joomla and Astroid. The principles that work here with text formatting will apply to many other elements of our Joomla site in conjunction with the Astroid Templating Framework. Furthermore, this lesson is intended to touch on the organization of media in the Joomla Media Manager. We'll explore organizing images for Joomla articles in a similar way to how the articles are organized, with a coherent folder structure. We will see the actual fruits of our work in a later lesson: • Transform Joomla Design with Astroid Last but by no means least, we'll briefly look at some of the standard options for Joomla menus and glance at some of the extra Astroid menu options which we now have thanks to our Astroid installation. Also, please note that while not covered in this lesson, there are several third-party Joomla Content Editors that can be installed and switched out if required using the Joomla Global Settings. Some are paid, and some are free. Alternative Joomla Content Editors include: JCE (Joomla Content Editor) TinyMCE ARK Editor CKEditor NextGen Editor RokPad It's advisable to check if these editors are compatible with Astroid. JCE, for instance, is known to work well with Astroid. However, the default Joomla Editor is more than adequate for the vast majority of tasks. As someone recovering from Joomla bloatware tendencies, I must confess that the JCE Content Editor is one of the few paid extensions I still keep in my toolkit. Yet, I would be the first to admit that it's somewhat overkill even for me. The JCE Editor is not covered in this lesson. =========================================== Get Astroid Help ➡️ https://bit.ly/3OCcttk =========================================== #Joomla #Astroid #JoomlaTutorial #SeamlessAstroid #joomlacms
